1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern access to the SriLankan Virtual Airlines website, the Crew Center, community resources, and participation in virtual-airline activities. By creating an account or using member services, you agree to comply with these Terms and any operational rules made available to pilots.
2. Nature of the service
SriLankan Virtual Airlines is an independent, non-commercial flight simulation community. It does not sell air travel, issue real tickets, transport passengers or cargo, provide real-world aviation services, or represent SriLankan Airlines.
3. Eligibility and accounts
Applicants must provide accurate information, maintain a single personal account unless staff authorises otherwise, and protect their login credentials. Account sharing, impersonation, falsified identity information, or unauthorised access is prohibited.
4. Pilot conduct
Members must communicate respectfully, follow applicable IVAO or VATSIM rules when connected to those networks, avoid harassment or discrimination, and refrain from conduct that damages the community or misrepresents the virtual airline as a real carrier.
5. Virtual operations
Flight reports must describe operations actually completed in a supported flight simulator. Fraudulent flight time, manipulated telemetry, duplicate reports, fabricated network activity, or attempts to obtain ranks or awards dishonestly may lead to rejection of reports or account action.
6. Schedules, fleet, and availability
Routes, aircraft, events, ranks, and operational resources may be changed, suspended, or removed. Their presence on the website does not guarantee permanent availability. Virtual data must never be used for real-world navigation or travel decisions.
7. Intellectual property
Original website code, text, graphics, and community materials remain subject to their respective rights. Third-party names, marks, aircraft designations, maps, and services remain the property of their owners. Users may not reproduce protected material beyond applicable licences or lawful personal use.
8. Suspension and termination
Staff may restrict, suspend, or close accounts for serious or repeated rule violations, abuse, security concerns, fraudulent activity, inactivity under published rules, or conduct that places the community or its members at risk. Where appropriate, members may contact support to request a review.
9. Availability and liability
The website and community services are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free data, compatibility with every simulator, or preservation of every record. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the virtual airline is not liable for losses arising from service interruption, third-party platforms, user equipment, or reliance on simulation-only information.
10. Third-party services
The website may link to online aviation networks, mapping providers, the official airline, or other external services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. A link does not imply control or endorsement.
11. Changes
These Terms may be updated to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
