1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files stored by a website in a browser. Similar technologies, including local storage, can remember preferences without sending the value with every request.
2. Essential account cookies
The Crew Center may use essential session cookies to keep authenticated pilots signed in, protect account functions, and maintain security. These cookies are necessary for services requested by the user.
3. Public website preference
The home page stores one local preference named sva_affiliation_notice_acknowledged_v1 after the visitor closes the independent-virtual-airline notice. This prevents the same notice from reopening on later pages or visits in that browser. It does not contain a name, email address, or advertising identifier.
4. Maps and external content
Interactive maps load resources from Leaflet tile providers such as OpenStreetMap or CARTO. Those providers may receive technical request information, including IP address and browser details, under their own policies. External fonts may also be requested from Google Fonts where the browser has not cached them.
5. Advertising and profiling
The public website is not configured to place advertising cookies or build behavioural advertising profiles. Should optional analytics or social integrations be introduced later, this policy and any consent controls will be updated before they are enabled where required.
6. Managing storage
Browser settings allow users to delete or block cookies and local storage. Blocking essential account cookies may prevent login or other secure functions. Clearing local storage will cause the home-page affiliation notice to appear again.
7. Updates
This policy may be updated when browser-storage practices or third-party services change. The latest version will remain available on this page.
