About the airline

We fly with passion.
We operate with purpose.

An independent virtual airline created for realistic flight simulation, learning, and community flying.

Who we are

A virtual community with an airline mindset.

SriLankan Virtual Airlines brings together flight simulation pilots seeking organised operations, continuous learning, and a welcoming international community.

Our flights take place exclusively in simulation environments. We use schedules, aircraft records, pilot activity, and operational procedures to create a structured experience without representing or operating the real-world airline.

Our main virtual hub is Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB/VCBI), reflecting the role Colombo plays in Sri Lankan aviation and connecting our pilots with destinations enabled in our own schedule database.

Real-world inspiration

Sri Lankan aviation heritage

Sri Lanka's national carrier was launched in 1979 and operates from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Its current published fleet is all-Airbus, with 23 aircraft across the A330 and A320/A321 families.

These facts come from the official SriLankan Airlines profile and describe the real-world carrier, not the virtual airline. Our operational records and member activity are independent.

To turn every simulated flight into an opportunity to learn, connect with other enthusiasts, and enjoy virtual aviation responsibly.

Our values

The way we fly.

These principles guide community life and every virtual operation.

Responsible realism

Procedures inspired by aviation and adapted to the capabilities of flight simulation.

Respect

An inclusive community committed to constructive, professional interaction.

Learning

Progressive development for new and experienced simulation pilots.

Teamwork

Coordination among pilots and staff during regular and special operations.

Reliability

Operational information is presented from live records whenever the relevant data exists.
